Congratulations message from Mohammad Mahdavifar to his son Ali from inside prison for winning a bronze medal in the Computer Olympiad
My dearest part of my soul, my beloved Ali
You study away from your father’s eyes, participate in the Olympiad, and win a medal.
You grow up away from your father’s eyes, reach your height, and become a man on your own.
I adore your stature and elegance.
I congratulate this success to you and to your mom, to whom we owe so much kindness and patience.
I congratulate your only sister, who is the solace of our lives, and your dear brothers who love you dearly.
All of these could not have been achieved without the compassionate efforts of your coaches and dear teachers, especially Mr. Zakari and Mr. Kazemzadeh, the principal and vice-principal of the Exceptional Talents School in Kashan.
Dear Ali, in the past four or five years, amidst the anxiety of your father’s arrest, your mother’s detention, the summons of your brother Mohsen, threats of your arrest, and the potential arrest of your younger brother Abolfazl, who has just turned fourteen, and amidst the anxiety of attack from the Revolutionary Guards and Intelligence Ministry agents over the walls of our home, you studied and won the Olympiad medal. This makes your achievement all the more valuable. Bravo, my son.
Ali, I raise my hands in prayer for you, and you also pray for your father.
I have important tasks to accomplish, and the most important of them in these times is to remind and recommend leadership to promote good and prevent evil.
Ali, we must always strive to be good human beings and serve all people without expectation, and this transaction does not go unrewarded; God gives its reward.
Your devoted father, Mohammad
