Mohammad Mahdavifar; Hashemi Taba’s Pressure Cooker
Mr. Ahmadinejad mentioned in one of his speeches that the principal of a girls’ high school told him that one of the girls had successfully produced nuclear energy in the basement of her house, and Mr. Ahmadinejad immediately issued an order to investigate and follow up on the matter.
Yesterday, during the second presidential election debate, Mr. Hashemi Taba referred to that speech and said that Ahmadinejad claimed:
“That young lady was producing nuclear energy in the basement of her house inside a pressure cooker.”
Of course, in that speech, Mr. Ahmadinejad did not mention anything about a pressure cooker, and Mr. Hashemi Taba had obtained this additional information from another source or it might have been his own interpretation.
Although I do not have much information about nuclear energy and do not know what its raw materials are or how to make it, if this story is true and that girl used a pressure cooker due to lack of facilities or for any other reason to create nuclear energy, in my opinion, this action was pure recklessness!
We have repeatedly witnessed the bitter incidents resulting from the explosion of pyrotechnics around the time of Chaharshanbe Suri, the collapse of buildings, and the endangerment of our fellow citizens’ lives.
Now, consider where the intensity of an explosion from pyrotechnics is and where the intensity of a nuclear energy explosion is!
Especially considering that these pressure cookers are generally not safety-validated and lack any necessary standards.
