The Beauties of the Imam’s Mausoleum

Mohammad Mahdavifar: The Beauties of the Imam’s Mausoleum

Hello friends,

Your absence was felt; I think it was about ten days before the new year when I had the opportunity to visit the holy mausoleum of Imam Khomeini.

I hadn’t visited the Imam’s mausoleum in a long time, but I had heard descriptions of it.

I don’t know if you have visited the Imam’s mausoleum or not. If you haven’t, you really should go and see it at least once.

What grandeur! What a strange architecture!

Seeing this beautiful structure is sure to captivate any observer. Most importantly, and most fascinating, were the stunning plasterwork decorations on the mausoleum’s ceiling.

To be honest, I could not get enough of looking at this beautiful ceiling. Do you know why I could not get enough?

Because, for me to get satiated, I had to go through several stages.

First, there had to be at least about ten to twenty thousand tomans in my pockets or on my ATM card, then I would go to the Aftab Restaurant next to the mausoleum or to one of the sandwich shops around the mausoleum, order a meal with a drink or yogurt, and then sit down patiently and eat my food without any concern. Only then would I be satiated.

After all, one does not get satiated just by looking at the ceiling of Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum. Do they?

These things do not provide us with bread and butter. Do they?

Building mausoleums and shrines does not provide food and shelter for the hungry and destitute. It does not create marriage and employment opportunities for the youth.

In summary, these things won’t provide underwear for Fatima.
