On the Subject of Sunni Muslims
In the name of God, the Most Merciful and Compassionate
To the Honorable Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Muslims Worldwide
After greetings and respects,
As you are aware, last year in Dey [January 2019], due to the repetition of the letters I wrote to you, and mainly due to the thirtieth letter, I was once again arrested and sent to a detention center of the Ministry of Intelligence.
Initially, I was in solitary confinement at the Ministry of Intelligence for ninety-three days under the care of the unseen soldiers of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), and now for a few days, I have been transferred to the general ward.
I thank God that during this time, I have seen nothing but beauty.
“And I did not see anything but beauty.”
You may recall that in the thirtieth letter, which coincided with widespread demonstrations and protests by the people, I proposed the establishment of a council named the Transition Council to implement fundamental changes and to replace management in the country to protect the nation from the risk of division and civil war.
I wrote you the names of several well-known and influential figures in the fields of politics and culture, from various intellectual, ethnic, and ideological backgrounds, for membership in this council. And in interrogation sessions, I was questioned and reproached for writing each of these names.
During these days, I had a kind interrogator, whose skills were abundant in many areas. For four years, he has been involved in all my cases.
Threats, humiliation, insult, and intrusion into private life are part of his capabilities.
With surprise and prejudice, he asked me:
Who told you that it is possible to criticize the Supreme Leader?
I replied:
Mr. Rouhani said on television that in the government of Imam Mahdi, it is possible to criticize even him.
The interrogator replied:
Mr. Rouhani mistakenly said something, and the scholars have answered him.
This time, he believed that my wife and all my children, even my young children, are anti-revolutionary and able to be arrested.
Upon seeing the name of Mawlawi Abdul Hamid on the Transition Council list, my interrogator unleashed a wave of anger and hatred upon me and said:
Aren’t you ashamed as a Shia follower of the household to mention the name of this “Sunni dog” in your letter?
I genuinely do not know what wrongdoing Mawlawi Abdul Hamid had committed against him!
My interrogator, emphasizing his commitment and adherence to the intentions of the Supreme Leader and repeatedly emphasizing that the Ministry of Intelligence only obeys the leadership and that changes in governments do not affect the policies of this ministry, criticized Mr. Rouhani and his government using indecent words because, according to him, against the nation’s interests, Mawlawi Abdul Hamid was praised and supported.
You have access to more details by reviewing the interrogation session documents and the interrogation session videos of mine.
Dear Leader,
We are all aware that the Shia population in the world is approximately one-fifth of the Sunni population, but we thank God that due to the talent and confidence He instilled in you, at this time, He has chosen the leader of all Muslims from among the Shia and from our beloved country of Iran. Therefore, as a token of gratitude for this unique event, it is fitting for you and your officials to act with justice and fairness towards all Muslims, both in words and deeds, and to respect the beliefs of the Sunnis and Sunni scholars.
Your devotee,
