My wife, Ms. Tahereh Khatami Bidgoli, sister of the martyr demolition expert Seyyed Mehdi Khatami Bidgoli,
was recounting the events of December 2017 and the late-night raid by intelligence agents over our home’s wall
to Ms. Simin Asoudi, a blind poet. She described how the agents searched every corner of our home for about
two hours trying to find me, and at that late hour, disturbed our children.
Ms. Asoudi had asked her, when the intelligence agents attacked your home, weren’t you afraid?
My wife had replied, I’m only afraid of cockroaches.
