Hello Mr. Mahdavifar

🔵 Hello Mr. Mahdavifar,

The Basij member whose house was broken into last month and had his genitalia cut off is my friend. Well, he used to be. We lived in the same neighborhood and went to the same high school. He’s a really good and simple guy, truly without any guile.

Yesterday, he was also present in a meeting with the Leader. The Basij commander of Qom requested the Leader to offer him some consolation, but the Leader paid no attention to him. It seems the Martyr Foundation also declined to file a case for him or recognize him as a veteran.

The root of all this neglect and disregard goes back to something he said in a state of delirium at Shahid Beheshti Hospital in Qom during an interview with Qom TV, which he shouldn’t have said and didn’t mean anything by it.

He told the reporter, “I stand by my Leader to the point of my death. Although I was not worthy enough to sacrifice my life for my Leader, I’m glad I was able to offer one of my body parts.” Some people with twisted minds misunderstood his words.

Last night, when I visited our old family neighborhood, I saw him there. I asked how he was doing. I asked him if he still went on missions, and he said no, he can’t anymore.

He shared some of his feelings with me, about how people view him and how the authorities disregard his problem.

In the end, as we said goodbye, he told me he doesn’t expect anything from anyone. He said he believes in God and asked why he should beg from people. He said, “I gave my part in the path of God.”
